Truth is, I’ve always done the occasional branding photography - people who are drawn to storytelling tend to seek me out.
This is the first time I’ve added it my official offerings, though. If I’m honest, I’ve worried working with businesses would confuse my family work, so I made the tough call not to promote it - despite the fact I’ve delighted in it, behind the scenes.
At the end of the day, though (and at the start of the day, and in the middle) I’m a storyteller; I rejoice in making all kinds of stories.
Catching dynamic, real life local business people and their spaces in rich and compelling photographs is a bit magic, and I want to do more of it.
